Justin Lui is a designer and artist whose work explores the integration of responsive media into the physical world. Through his immersive installations, Justin examines the dynamic relationship between media technology and architecture, creating objects, spaces, and surfaces that are tactile yet ephemeral. His works challenge viewers to reconsider their spatial awareness and existence, inviting new perspectives on the environment around them.
Justin’s artistic practice blends electronics, UX design, and spatial design, with an emphasis on innovation and interaction. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he is now based in Los Angeles. He holds degrees from UCLA’s Design Media Arts and Architecture & Urban Design programs, as well as from the Carleton University School of Architecture.
His projects have been featured in Archinect, A Touch of Code (Gestalten, 2011), and VoyageLA. Justin’s work has also been exhibited internationally at La Gaîté Lyrique (Paris), Mundaneum (Mons, Belgium), and Saint-Ex Culture Numérique (Reims, France).
