AT Art and Interiors under Artlink Canada presented the East Meets West Exhibition which was a traveling exhibition that took place in Canadian cities Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. The exhibition showcased 45 cutting-edge contemporary paintings from Beijing and Vancouver; featuring art from renowned Chinese artists Feng Bin, Pan Jian, as well as Vancouver based-artist Lauren Brevner. The exhibition involves art that extends beyond cultural background cultivating a new understanding of art from a local and global perspective, bridging the gap between the East and West. The exhibition offered a wonderful opportunity to view a wide-range of different styles and artistic media of contemporary art from a new generation of artists. As part of the exhibition a documentary was created by renowned cinematographer Jon Thomas demonstrating the process of visiting an artist in their studio and the work that goes into creating a high end piece of art.
