Set just below the Griffith Observatory in Los Feliz, this thoughtful renovation reimagines a Los Angeles residence while honoring its strong architectural foundation. The client is an artist and dedicated collector with a compelling array of works. They sought to create a home that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly livable for their young family.

At the heart of the design is Angel Blue dolomite, the star natural stone of the project. Its cool veining and serene color are used extensively throughout the kitchen, adding depth and understated drama to the center of the home. Satin brass accents introduce warmth and subtle luminosity. Oak wood detailing, woven throughout the residence, adds organic softness and architectural continuity. Custom furnishings, including bespoke dining and coffee tables crafted from Dover quartzite, anchor the primary living spaces with quiet monumentality.

The result is a tactile, art-forward home that feels distinctly rooted in Los Angeles. Considered craftsmanship, natural textures, and curated interiors create a seamless dialogue between family life and expressive design.
